Here at Groom + Guy we love game-changers. There’s just something super exciting about people forging ahead with their creative dreams! So, it was no surprise that we were absolutely thrilled to come across the stunning Mornington Peninsula hotel Jackalope.
Less than a year into operations, Jackalope have already taken out the title of Australia’s Best Hotel 2017 and made the short list for the World Architecture Festival Awards 2017. The next big all-in-one wedding destination, a stay at Jackalope is guaranteed to be defined by decadence!
With a 143-year-old vineyard, restaurants (which are destinations in their own right) and a 46-room hotel, Jackalope is redefining grandeur in country Victoria. Every detail has been meticulously thought over and this design-lead aesthetic has led to something intoxicatingly lavish. Indulge in the private terraces, deep-soak Japanese baths or the 30-metre infinity pool with views of the vineyard. If art is your thing, you’ll be captivated by simply walking through the hotel! The commissioned works, mostly from Australian artists, add that extra stunning element to an already remarkable space. We were enthralled by the soaring seven-meter high sculpture of the hotel’s namesake which greets guests at the entrance to the hotel.
For the grooms who want it all, Jackalope provide deluxe wedding packages. Say your “I dos” against the backdrop of the picturesque Willow Creek Vineyard before making your way to the event space on the ground floor of the hotel. With floor-to-ceiling views of the vineyard, you and your guests will be able to dance the night away in the blissful atmosphere. Choose from a cocktail style or seated reception, both with food and drink provided by on-site restaurant Rare Hare. For the most extravagant of weddings, exclusive use of the hotel is available. This covers the event space, the restaurant and all facilities. Jackalope are anything but your typical country hotel and the perfect choice for an indulgence worthy of your wedding day!
