We absolutely love a blank canvas so when we stumbled across Ellis Street Studio whilst trawling our Instagram feed, it was love at first sight! It just oozes Melbourne-cool with an industrial edge. Think high ceilings, sleek polished concrete floors and plenty of natural light. Located a stones throw away from the heart of Melbourne, this contemporary warehouse venue is sure to set the stage for the reception of your dreams.
Ellis Street Studio’s modest exterior gives way to a bright and beautiful interior clad with white walls and minimal furnishings. The building was recently stripped back to its bones and then overlaid with a palette of neutrals, brass trimmings and vintage feature lighting, converting this warehouse into a chic and modern function space perfect for the sophisticated couple. Run by the brains behind Melbourne’s Alto, Ellis Street Studio was redesigned with timeless finishes and colours in mind.
The luxe minimalist aesthetic has unlimited creative potential, allowing the building to be a blank canvas ready for your bespoke decor. Soften the space with textured linens, plant life and brass cutlery or add a splash of colour for contrast. Prefer to leave it to the professionals? They have an industry leading team of event stylists, florists and musicians ready to turn your big day into a big success.
The venue has a commercial kitchen and have partnered with catering company Damm Fine Foods to offer a selection of innovative gourmet menus to satisfy every taste. Combine this with an integrated bar offering several decadent drink packages with cocktails, wine and craft beer and no matter what you’ve got planned your guests will be more than happy to dance the night away in celebration of the newlyweds!
Ellis Street Studio can accommodate 150 standing guests or seat 100 friends and family with plenty of room left to move - and dance! An exquisite locale for that warehouse wedding you’ve always wanted.
